Devlin Ink Tattoos Wins Beauty & Aesthetics Business of the Year in Colchester
Devlin Ink Tattoos was named Beauty & Aesthetics Business of the Year at the Colchester Business Awards 2026.
We're a small, independent tattoo studio in Colchester town centre. Winning such a broad category, alongside salons, clinics, and beauty businesses across the city, means the world to us.
Meet the Colchester tattoo artists behind the award
Devlin Ink is run by husband-and-wife team Vicky and Harry Devlin, from our studio at 4 Red Lion Yard.
Vicky specialises in fine line and colour tattoos, including delicate botanical work.
Harry specialises in black-and-grey realism and took 1st place at the Dino Tattoo Convention this year for his extraordinary Lego Jurassic Tattoo.
We built the studio to feel clean, calm and welcoming. A place where first-timers feel at ease, and collectors feel at home. Our two girls, Lily and Nala (doggies), will also be sure to greet you!
What the award means to us
Tattooing is an art form. It treats the body as a living canvas for permanent storytelling, memory and emotional truth. Tattoos capture a story, grief, love, survival in a few compressed lines, symbols and pictures. It's a service built on trust. Every client who sits in our chair is trusting us with something permanent.
This award tells us we're getting that right: the design, the experience, and the care that comes after.
Thank you, Colchester
To every client who has trusted us with their skin: this one's yours. You booked, you came back, and you sent your friends. You all continuously show your support and dedication to us, which we are eternally grateful for.
Thank you to InColchester and Fuze for running the Colchester Business Awards, to the presenters and sponsors for their time, and to every business shortlisted alongside us. Colchester's independent scene is thriving, and we're proud to be part of it.
